School Music Program

My daughter got to bring home her instrument for the first time yesterday. Oh joy! She is learning the violin this year. Great... She had to show me all the different songs she could play already. Of course none of them required any fingerings, just drawing the bow back and forth on the strings, since that is as far as they have gotten. Guess what I woke up to this morning? You guessed it folks, violin practice!

Seeing as how her mother signed her up to learn this I think she should have her every night she brings her violin home! I tried to get her to take her this weekend, but no dice. Oh well she is ruining her relationship with her daughter and doesn't seem to care enough to try to change it.

I am sitting here this morning putting off getting dressed and mowing the lawn. I haven't finished a full pot of coffee yet anyway. I was surfing around the personals on Yahoo and noticed something that doesn't make me happy, all of these women put in a height restriction of at least 5'7" most put 5'8". Reminds me of going to an amusement park and finding out that I'm not tall enough to ride the adult rides! Come on ladies give a short guy a chance at least!! I'm good with my tongue. I can give references! Of course if my ex-wife is in a bad mood you'll have to take her input with a grain of salt...

All right folks, go make a nice day!

Traffic

I have been in a training class in Orlando all week. Traffic SUCKS!!! What should be an hour drive has turned into almost 2 hours because of traffic. Some people are idiots when it comes to driving. I'm glad that today is my last day for having to drive in this traffic.

Make a nice day.

9/11

Where were you? I was stationed at Barksdale AFB, La. The "undisclosed Air Force base in Louisiana" that the media told everyone about. It wouldn't have been bad, but there is only one AF base in Louisiana now. I worked in the building that President Bush came to. The first briefing he gave after the towers fell was given in the conference room I spent so much time in. That was a very bad day. We had our eyes opened to how the world truly is. I wish we could go back to not knowing.

Make a nice day.

Face Recognition

I got conned into doing a face recognition thing by Phain. You upload your picture to this site and it runs a face recognition program and then tells you who you look like with a percentage. She had some decent comparisons for hers. I did not!! I must be some kind of fugly to be compared to Pervez Musharraf and David Hasselhoff. UGH!! Somebody shoot me! And go give Phain some crap about distorting my fragile ego!!

Arrgghhh!!!!!!

Somebody tell me why I have a daughter!! Sometimes she drives me nuts! We live three blocks from the Atlantic ocean. I don't take her there very often because "it's boring, I don't like it!, No I don't want to!!" It has become a serious pain in the butt to try to take her.

I decided that since it was such a beautiful day, and all she was doing was sitting at the computer, I decided that we would go to the beach. I should have known better. As soon as I said we were going she threw a fit. She got her butt spanked. She eventually got her suit on and I tried to sunscreen her. She fought me the whole time turning away from me, pulling her arm away, stepping away. All she did was make me madder. The whole time I was trying to do it she kept complaining and whining.

Finally I got her done and we went to the beach. She had her towel and a book, I was carrying a towel, a book, two water bottles, keys, and cell phone. She couldn't put her towel down because her hands were full. I wanted to smack her right then. I said fine and put my stuff down and laid out my towel and let her do her own. She threw it on the ground and whined about it. I finally straightened her towel out and she sat down and started crying.

I was getting even more pissed because of the way she was acting just because she didn't get her way. I started ignoring her and she eventually went and played in the ocean, complaining that it was too cold, there were fish in it, etc.

She came back and sat down on her towel behind me and began playing in the sand. When my phone started ringing I turned around to see that she had thrown sand all over my phone and towel intentionally. I didn't beat her.

After the phone conversation I went and washed the sand off me and told her we were leaving. I sent her in the shower as soon as we got home. When she finished she came downstairs and started playing on her computer without bothering to clean the bathroom up after herself.

I lost it.

She cleaned her bathroom and she is now in the process of cleaning her entire room spic and span. I don't care if her room is a mess or clean since she is the one who plays there, but now it is time to pay the piper for being a whiny brat. I have yet to beat her, but it sounds awfully tempting!

I hope everyone is making a nice day!
