PT

PT!! Yay!!

Yesterday afternoon I found out I had to take my annual PT test this morning. Great. I like having a long time like that to prepare for it. I figured I might as well go ahead and take it since I will be out of town next week, and I didn't want to have that hanging over my head the whole time I was gone. At least having taken it I can eat and drink and be merry and not worry about getting too fat or out of shape.

So this morning I get to the gym and when it is my turn to do pushups I cranked out 60 in one minute. My arms felt like jello afterwards but I did my personal best! Situps I didn't do quite as well, I only got 47 in one minute. I maxed out both of them as it was, but personal pride is something that isn't taken into consideration. For my run time I ran 1 1/2 miles in 12.53. Decent, but in order to max out my run time I would have to shave about 4 minutes off my time. Sorry it ain't going to happen!

I keep telling people who inform me that I can do better on my run, that I only have to run far enough to get in a vehicle and drive. I am not in the Army or Marines, I am in the Air Force. We don't do ground combat if we have a choice! Besides, my ass is lazy. If I have to hotwire a car to get the hell out of dodge, guess what? You got it! Somebody is going to have keys to a vehicle that isn't anywhere close to them!

Make a nice day.

HNT

Haven't been feeling well the past couple of days. I have actually been sick enough to stay home from work, which in the military is rather rare. I have to admit that losing 6 pounds in 2 days was a side benefit. Laying in bed has been driving me nuts though. I loaded up 5 DVD's in my player and watched all of them. Then channel surfed for a long time. If I ever have to get sick and stay in bed again I am damn sure going to have a laptop and a wireless connection!

I had an idea of taking a picture of my pinky where it lost some skin on Saturday, but I just don't feel like taking pictures right now. So instead of a bloody stump you get to stare at a picture that is a few weeks old. All serious propositions need to be spelled out and quite explicit. :)

Tired

I went to a housewarming party today. One of the guys who works for me recently moved into a new house that he had built. They did a very nice job on the house.

I made and brought two cheesecakes over. Everyone else brought the chips and drinks, and someone brought a watermelon. The host grilled hamburgers and hotdogs.

After we had all eaten he took us out on his boat since the house is on a small lake. We went tubing.
I hadn't planned on tubing, just going for a boat ride. I finally decided what the hell, its not like I have had much chance to do it recently. I had a great time doing that. When the adults finished he took the kids out and drug them around a whole lot slower.

While the kids were out being drug around the lake the rest of us adults broke out the cheesecakes. The women were astonished that a I could make a cheesecake that tasted that good. Felt good to hear that I can make a good cheesecake. Several of the wives told me they would be coming over to visit. Umm, how about I just give you the recipe?

After the kids were done, the topic of wakeboarding came up, since that is the reason he has a boat. He is a big wakeboarder fan. So three of us were brave enough to give it a shot. The first girl got up on her first try, but wiped out in short order. She had a couple more goes then finally called quits cause she was tired.

Then it was my turn. I managed to get up my first try and stayed up for a short ways then dropped the rope and sank down into the water and waited for them to come back. He wanted me to practice getting up again. Didn't do so good the next three tries. Actually ripped some skin off my pinkie. Didn't even notice it though. I was ready to quit and he said one more try and I managed to get up again. This time I swung out wide from the boat and managed to swing back and cross the wake. I almost wiped out a few times when I let board get a little flat and it wanted to skip across the water, but I managed to get it back under control in time. I finally got a little cocky and wiped out. When I got in the boat I realized that I had water in my sinuses and my ears!

I don't think my sinuses have been this clean in a long time! I am still trying to get the water out of my ears. I get the feeling I will have a wet pillow tonight.

So that is what I did today. I had a great time. I may have to see about going wakeboarding again in the future.

Make a nice day!

HNT

I have to thank the anonymous photographer for taking this photo and also editing it to make it appear that I look good. :)

Now where was I... oh yes. There I was, tied up to her bed, motor oil smeared all over my body...WAIT WAIT WAIT!!! Not this time either!

I was sleeping in this strange womans bed. Umm, Nope that is my bed. How the hell did she take that picture? Has she been stalking me? What other pictures did she take? Can she blackmail me with any of them? Oh POODLE!!

Just what was in that drink she gave me??!!??

Cold Shower

Cold Showers suck! Especially when you are outside fully clothed. Yep you guessed it on the first try, I wasn't smart enough to come in out of the rain. One of these days I'll figure out what dark gray clouds mean.

I was getting a little cabin fever since I had been inside since I got home from work and decided a little bike ride would be nice. So I went out and looked to see what kind of clouds there were and saw the aforementioned dark gray clouds. They looked far enough away that I could ride up to the beach for a few minutes and see what it looked like.

So I got out my bike and took off the 3 blocks to the beach and was looking at everything. There were only a few surfers here at my beach, but the one a quarter of a mile up the road seemed to have a lot of them, so I decided to take another short ride and see what was happening up there. I got there and had enough time to go up the boardwalk to feel a few drops of rain hit me. Hmmm, maybe I better head home.

I got on my trusty steed "Mongoose", and commenced to pedaling. I knew right away that I was in for a cold drenching shower since I could see the big heavy drops beginning to pound into the cement in front of me. GREAT!! I guess the Lord decided I needed a shower.

So there I was, tied up to the bed, motor oil smeared all over my body. She came in the room with a saddle and a set of jumper cables... oh wait wrong story!!

Sorry got side tracked there. Where was I... oh yeah pedaling into the rain. Within 100 feet of heading home I was drenched, the rain was coming down so hard I had one eye closed and my hand in front of my other eye so I could at least keep the bike on the sidewalk. Just as I was getting to my house it started to let up enough so that I could open both eyes and see where I was going. My neighbor was laughing at me since her and the kids had their garage open and were watching the rain fall.

I had to wring my clothes out before I came in the house since I didn't want to drip water all over everything. I got a lot of water out of them too. Course I only did a quick wring on my shorts since I didn't want to stand out front in my underwear too long. Some women might get the wrong idea that I'm cheap or something! (I admit I'm easy, just not cheap!)

That was my evening. How was yours? :)

I hope you made a nice day!

4th of July HNT

I had thought about posting a picture of me half nekkid with the space shuttle launching over my shoulder, but alas I thought about that idea a little too late. Maybe next time they send one up. So Os requested a theme for this week. Ok, makes the ideas a little easier to think up...

I admit I got a request from someone for a specific area to be shown and I decided to add something in to fit the theme. I never realized how much easier it is to take a picture of yourself when someone else does it for you! The request was for my shoulder/collar bone area. Something to cry on or rest a weary head on. Either way is fine with me.

What is HNT? Why am I showing nekkid parts of myself? Is this the blog of an exhibitionist? Go see the man himself, Osbasso, and find out! Click on the lingerie lady on my sidebar to read the rules.

Happy 4th of July

I have had a quiet day today. My daughter went up to Auburn with her cousin today. She is going to spend the rest of the week with her. She was so excited about going she didn't even call to tell me, her sister had to call me and let me know. Oh well, since Dad is out of sight he is out of mind, I guess.

Not much going on other than that. I lead a very boring life it seems. Although they did launch the space shuttle today. It is the first time NASA has launched a manned space vehicle on Independence Day.

I hope everyone had a happy and safe 4th of July. You can now put the bottle rockets down and go back to drinking and flinging rocks at each other! :)

Make a nice day!

Quiet

Sometimes the quiet gets to me. What does that mean? It means that my daughter is at her grandmothers for the summer and the quiet of the house is driving me nuts. She has a tendency to make noise and irritate me sometimes, but now that she isn't here I miss her a great deal.

It is nice to be able to go wherever I want whenever I want. I want to go see the movie Cars, but I feel like a weirdo going to see a kids movie by myself. Sometimes kids are good for something! ;)

Yes I miss my daughter a lot right now. I find that I want to have her around to annoy me. I could drive up to see her this weekend, but that is a long drive for a short visit. I will be picking her up at the beginning of next month. I have to take her shopping for school clothes also. I know she has outgrown what she has now. Or they are not serviceable for school. Good play clothes, but not good enough for school.

I guess I need to post this before I start getting all mushy.

Make a nice day! :)
