Random HNT

I wasn't busy doing anything except drinking margaritas and I figured what the hell I'll post an HNT. Slightly edited of course. Can't have everyone seeing my triple chin...

This is one of the other pictures my daughter took while we were in Tennessee. The other one she took of me was more of an up the nose shot. Ummm, I'll pass on posting that one I think.

So have a quick look and then go find some truly half-nekkid folks. If you find any fully nekkid females come give me a pointer in the right direction! Happy HNT!!

Ernesto

Looks like hurricane season is back in full swing. yay. I haven't even had a chance to replenish my Pat O'Brien's Hurricane mix and a couple gallons of dark rum!! POODLE!!! I guess this will show me what I get for not preparing properly. Maybe I can get some hot women to come visit and pick some up on their way here...

We haven't been told to leave this island yet, but we don't have to go to work tomorrow, and Thursday is a "wait and see" type thing. It's good that we don't work tomorrow since school has been cancelled and I wouldn't have anyone to watch my daughter.

The reason I don't have anyone to watch my daughter is because my ex-wife is getting on a plane for Hawaii at 0700 tomorrow. Hmmm, I wish I could afford to go to Hawaii for a week. I wonder how she can afford to go even though she has no job and can barely keep gas in her car.

Enough whining from me for today. Get out the mixes and alcohol and lets have a hurricane party!! :)

Beta Blogger

Well I switched to the new blogger. Anyone notice a difference? Other than signing in and a few other small things I don't see much difference myself. Of course I haven't played with it a lot since I just converted a few minutes ago. If anyone else has switched and they have any hints for me, throw me a life preserver!!

Make a nice day!

Pictures

I got some pictures to post. Finally. Most of these were taken by my daughter. If they are bad, she took them. If they are good, she took them... :)

There are more pictures but they have pictures of people in them and I don't want to post those. I keep hoping to see Recon hiding in the bushes in the pictures, but I haven't spotted her yet!!

Make a nice day!

A trip

The trip went well enough. It took 11 hours of driving to get there. I am glad that I took my daughter to see grandpa. He won't be around much longer and this gave her a chance to say goodbye to him. On the way home last night I let her call her momma and tell her everything. I was only half listening to her talk when she told her momma that Grandpa was going to be "taking a dirt nap" real soon! OMG I about laughed my ass off, since that is something that only he would tell her. She seems to have the understanding that he will be dying soon since the doctors have only given him a couple of weeks to live, and that was a couple of weeks ago.

I gave her the camera while we were there and I told her to take pictures, so she had a blast with that. I will have to download them and see what I can post. The scenery there is very beautiful, and where we were is way back in the mountains so far that my mom told me to call her when I got to the Flying J and she would come get me. When we finally got to the house, I told my step sister that if I heard any dueling banjoes, me and my daughter were out of there!! Sorry Summer!

That was a few things from my weekend. I will try to post the pictures later today. Make a nice day!

Driving Weekend

I am going for a long drive this weekend. There is a family reunion in Tennessee this weekend so I am going to bite the bullet and drive for 10 hours to socialize with people I don't really know anymore.

I have to take my daughter out of school around lunchtime so that will put us in Knoxville around 10 PM. I will be trapped in a car with a bored 10 year old for 10 hours. I'll do it all over again on Sunday on the drive back!! I must have masochistic tendencies.

If Recon lived closer to Knoxville it would be well worth it. I don't think she is up to that long of a drive to see someone she doesn't know...

Tish lives in Knoxville though! I wonder how jealous Brico would be. It is the weekend though so they might be tied up...

I hope everyone decides to make a nice weekend!

Fortune Cookie

Sometimes I wonder about fortune cookies. Do they really have a true fortune? I'm wondering this because I went to chinese for lunch today. My fortune cookie said "Friends long absent are coming back to you."

Tonight when I signed on to MSN I got a IM from a friend that I haven't talked to in awhile because she has been busy with RL stuff. Right about the time she had to sign off, I saw a friend sign on who I haven't talked to in a little over a year and a half.

This is the friend that I stopped talking to when my ex-wife complained about me talking to another woman. She was not especially happy to see me IM her when I did, but I talked to her some, she had just gotten back from Iraq and was waiting to be picked up at the airport. I am glad I got the chance to talk to her again. I hope to be able to talk to her some more.

Time to go. Tell your special someone you love them. Make a nice day!

Song, no HNT

A song I have recently found that I like is Gary Allen's Life Ain't Always Beautiful. Sorry folks but I don't think I will be posting HNT's anymore. At least not on a regular basis, since I have not been posting anything on a regular basis lately. I guess I have hit the point in blogging where I don't feel like writing anything regularly. Like most everyone else, I started my blog as a sort of therapy. It helped in the fact that I met many people who took the time to talk to me and give me advice and just be there when it all got to be too much.

I have to thank Blondie for my life. Back in January, I found myself sitting in the back yard up against a tree. I held my .357 in my hand, loaded with a single semi-jacketed hollowpoint. I figured the tree would stop the bullet from going any further and hurting someone else. Outside was good because clean up wouldn't be very hard. As I sat there preparing myself, something Blondie said to me came to mind, "What about your daughter?" That was when I got up and put it away. I haven't taken it out of the case since I put it in there. Thank You Blondie.

I have actually had that paragraph written for a while now. Seems like when ever I decide to post it, I get cold feet and hit the save as draft button again.

Life ain't always beautiful
Sometimes it's just plain hard
Life can knock you down, it can break your heart

Life ain't always beautiful
You think you're on your way
And it's just a dead end road at the end of the day

But the struggle makes you stronger
And the changes make you wise
And happiness has it's own way of takin' it sweet time

[chorus]
No,life aint always beautiful
Tears will fall sometimes
Life aint always beautiful
But it's a beautiful ride

Life aint always beautiful
Some days I miss your smile
I get tired of walkin' all these lonely miles

And I wish for just one minute
I could see your pretty face
Guess I can dream, but life dont work that way

But the struggles makes me stronger
And the changes make me wise
And happiness has it's own way of takin' its sweet time

No, life aint always beautiful
But I know I'll be fine
Hey, life aint always beautiful
But its a beautiful ride
What a beautiful ride

Make a nice day.

Sorry folks, no HNT. I'm on vacation at the ex-mother-in-law's house and don't want to be posting too much from here. I should be back next Monday.

Make a nice day!

PT

PT!! Yay!!

Yesterday afternoon I found out I had to take my annual PT test this morning. Great. I like having a long time like that to prepare for it. I figured I might as well go ahead and take it since I will be out of town next week, and I didn't want to have that hanging over my head the whole time I was gone. At least having taken it I can eat and drink and be merry and not worry about getting too fat or out of shape.

So this morning I get to the gym and when it is my turn to do pushups I cranked out 60 in one minute. My arms felt like jello afterwards but I did my personal best! Situps I didn't do quite as well, I only got 47 in one minute. I maxed out both of them as it was, but personal pride is something that isn't taken into consideration. For my run time I ran 1 1/2 miles in 12.53. Decent, but in order to max out my run time I would have to shave about 4 minutes off my time. Sorry it ain't going to happen!

I keep telling people who inform me that I can do better on my run, that I only have to run far enough to get in a vehicle and drive. I am not in the Army or Marines, I am in the Air Force. We don't do ground combat if we have a choice! Besides, my ass is lazy. If I have to hotwire a car to get the hell out of dodge, guess what? You got it! Somebody is going to have keys to a vehicle that isn't anywhere close to them!

Make a nice day.

HNT

Haven't been feeling well the past couple of days. I have actually been sick enough to stay home from work, which in the military is rather rare. I have to admit that losing 6 pounds in 2 days was a side benefit. Laying in bed has been driving me nuts though. I loaded up 5 DVD's in my player and watched all of them. Then channel surfed for a long time. If I ever have to get sick and stay in bed again I am damn sure going to have a laptop and a wireless connection!

I had an idea of taking a picture of my pinky where it lost some skin on Saturday, but I just don't feel like taking pictures right now. So instead of a bloody stump you get to stare at a picture that is a few weeks old. All serious propositions need to be spelled out and quite explicit. :)

Want to join in the HNT fun, click on the lingerie lady on the sidebar and read the rules. Then go see Osbasso and tell everyone you are "up"!

Tired

I went to a housewarming party today. One of the guys who works for me recently moved into a new house that he had built. They did a very nice job on the house.

I made and brought two cheesecakes over. Everyone else brought the chips and drinks, and someone brought a watermelon. The host grilled hamburgers and hotdogs.

After we had all eaten he took us out on his boat since the house is on a small lake. We went tubing.
I hadn't planned on tubing, just going for a boat ride. I finally decided what the hell, its not like I have had much chance to do it recently. I had a great time doing that. When the adults finished he took the kids out and drug them around a whole lot slower.

While the kids were out being drug around the lake the rest of us adults broke out the cheesecakes. The women were astonished that a I could make a cheesecake that tasted that good. Felt good to hear that I can make a good cheesecake. Several of the wives told me they would be coming over to visit. Umm, how about I just give you the recipe?

After the kids were done, the topic of wakeboarding came up, since that is the reason he has a boat. He is a big wakeboarder fan. So three of us were brave enough to give it a shot. The first girl got up on her first try, but wiped out in short order. She had a couple more goes then finally called quits cause she was tired.

Then it was my turn. I managed to get up my first try and stayed up for a short ways then dropped the rope and sank down into the water and waited for them to come back. He wanted me to practice getting up again. Didn't do so good the next three tries. Actually ripped some skin off my pinkie. Didn't even notice it though. I was ready to quit and he said one more try and I managed to get up again. This time I swung out wide from the boat and managed to swing back and cross the wake. I almost wiped out a few times when I let board get a little flat and it wanted to skip across the water, but I managed to get it back under control in time. I finally got a little cocky and wiped out. When I got in the boat I realized that I had water in my sinuses and my ears!

I don't think my sinuses have been this clean in a long time! I am still trying to get the water out of my ears. I get the feeling I will have a wet pillow tonight.

So that is what I did today. I had a great time. I may have to see about going wakeboarding again in the future.

Make a nice day!
