Happy HNT!
So here is my HNT posting for this week. This was something I swore to myself that I would never do, get a tattoo with a name in it. Well 3 years ago I went and did it. I got my wifes name tattooed on me. Now since she has left me, I need to figure out what I should do. Do I just get the name covered, do I get the whole thing covered up, or do I get something like a broken heart tattooed over it with her name still showing? I'm up for ideas, so if anyone has any, drop me a comment! Bet you didn't know this was going to be interactive today did you?!

I would get her name taken off!! I don't want to date a guy that has a broken heart with a another name in it. Make sense?
yep, time to have the name blotted out! You don't need a permenant reminder of misery!! Happy HNT
Have it covered. Sorry to hear about that though. Bummer.
Happy HNT
Yeah, get her name OUTTA there...lol
Happy HNT :)
Id cover it. ;) Happy HNT!!
just do something with the name -- it's not necessary to blot out the whole thing. it's a pretty tat, you don't want to blot THAT out!
happy hnt!
Very sexy tatt...have the name part scrolled over. Sorry about that though...still very hot!
Happy HNT!
sorry things went south. tough call. maybe just ink inthe ribbon with the name and make it a solid color? happy HNT!
i say cover it with something that's just for and about you. screw the broken heart idea - then she still owns you. good luck - covers hurt like hell - i suggest heavy drinking beforehand =)
I've got to agree with Femi-mommy on this one too.....get something for you :)
Happy Thursday, fellow HNTer!
Happy HNT!
Nice tattoo! And I agree with the consensus: cover up the name! Happy HNT!
Happy HNT!! I'd blot the name, add some thorns drippng with blood and turn the petals black. But that's just me!
Go see a tat artist, they will give you some GREAT ideas about what they can do with it.
Nice tat, and Happy HNT!
Could you have "sucks" tattoo'd next to her name? LOL.
Happy HNT.
So many great answers! Femi, Ariella and Robin. No broken hearts! Do whatever else feels good to YOU! Happy HNT :o)
you've had good advice so far, I especially like addict's answer, happy HNT
When you start erasing your history, you erase the things that made you who you are and thus erase the you that exists because of those things.
She was a giant part of your life.
To argue, possibly one of the most important parts of your life from your point of view.
And that tatoo is something you did out of love with the intent to show love devotion and commitment.
Why would you want to get rid of or try to cover up, such direct evidence of some wonderful personality traits that so many single people all say they are looking for in another human?
I say leave it.
Anyone who can't deal with it is the kind of shallow petty individual who can't appreciate the things about you that allowed you get that tatoo done in the first place.
I have a tatoo on my right pectoral muscle of the first woman I ever asked to marry me.
6 months after the tat was done, we were done.
Every woman I have dated after that has complained about the tat and asked me to cover it up, and my pat reply is
"Well I could cover it up or I could just break up with you now and try to find someone who is more self secure and doesn't want me to rewrite my past."
That ends the conversation and the complaints about the tat one way or the other.
Don't start trying to deny who you are simply because you think someone else won't like it.
That is their problem.
Not yours.
Dude - are you going to listen to him or all of us ladies?
Remember making a girl happy might end up you getting laid !
Sorry Kevin. We will have to agree that we disagree on this subject.
